I'm going to be suggesting some songs that you should listen to from R5 if you've always wanted to listen to them but didn't know what song to listen to, or for whatever your reason is. I honestly love all the R5 songs but I'm gonna name what song you should listen to if you're looking for a certain type of genre. I'm going to be suggesting 10 of my favorites down below.
The first song I'm going to suggest is very catchy and upbeat. If you're in the mood for something to rock out to, you should listen to "All Night." It's one of my favorites from them. I usually use that song for projects(like that one project I had for film) and auditions. I actually used this song for musical theater auditions(if you didn't know already, I want to become an actor like Ross.) I overall love this song and I really suggest that you listen to it.
The second song I'm going to suggest is a "relaxing" type of R5 song. It's called "Repeating Days." The story behind the lyrics is actually pretty sad, but the beat really relaxes me. The end of the song is amazing, it's an acoustic version, but different lyrics. Ross' vocals for this song kills me. It's amazing and I honestly fall in love every time.
The third song I'm going to suggest honestly relates to me a lot. Well the first part. I don't really want to go in detail about it but that's me every time. (I'm talking about the part before the refrain but I forgot what it's called.) The song is called "Do It Again." It's so catchy and I suggested this song to some of my friends and they loved it.
The fourth song I'm going to suggest is SO catchy, and I rock out to it all the time. This is one of my favorites from the album and I usually repeat the song over and over again. The song is called "Did You Have Your Fun?". It's more of their "rock" kind of side and it's honestly AMAZING. I suggested this song to one of my good friends, her name is Jocelyn, and she loved it(she's a rock fan too.) So if you're in to rock, listen to this song.
The fifth song I'm going to suggest is "Heart Made Up On You." This is one of their best songs(my opinion,) and it's also a rock song, but it's very catchy. It's not as intense as "Did You Have Your Fun," so if you're new to rock music, I suggest you listen to this. The music video for this is also amazing. They have two, and one is like the concept video and the other is the official. Both are pretty great and the song makes it better!
The sixth song I'm going to suggest is one of the classics. This song is the reason of why their famous. It's called "Loud." This is one of the reasons I started to like them. Their voices were a bit different since this is one of their first songs, and of course they grew up, so their voices changed. You'll notice the major change in Ross' voice if you listen to "Loud" and "Sometime Last Night."
The seventh song I'm going to suggest is "I Want U Bad." I've always loved this song. It's not the rock type of song, but it's like a song that you'd hear on the radio. I remember myself jamming out to this everyday after school when I was in fourth or fifth grade. It was one of my favorites.
The eighth song I'm going to suggest is "Stay With Me." It's one of their sad songs. Riker's and Ross' vocals for this song are awesome. I can't really explain it but their voices in this make me feel like I'm in heaven.
The ninth song I'm going to suggest also makes me feel like I'm in heaven. It's called "Doctor, Doctor." It's so catchy and their vocals just amazed me in this song. When the previews went out on iTunes for Sometime Last Night, I would always play the preview for "Doctor, Doctor" because I loved it so much.
The tenth and last song I'm going to suggest is Rydel's solo, which is Lightning Strikes. It's one of their rock songs as well, and I love the beat to it and Rydel's voice. It was originally supposed to be Ross' song, but Rydel wanted a song too, so they chose this song.
Those are my song suggestions from R5 for you, and I really hope you listen to them. I suggest you listen to all of their songs after you listen to these. They're a really good band, and I'm not just saying this because I'm a fan. Hopefully in the next album Ellington gets his own song since his voice is amazing! Well, that's all I'm going to say for now.
